The country’s national dish, Fes, is made of fish and is spiced with garlic, onions, and Rosemary. It is typically served with rice and tomatoes. Tunisia is also home to a number of national dishes that can be found all throughout the country such as the Sidi Aaboul-Ben Ayed Ben Jeloud, lamb stew with rice and beans, rice salad with tomatoes and eggplant, the Zalit, which is unleavened bread made with unleavened bread dough, and the traditional dish of beef tartare.
